Lucent Room Studio Rental Rates
 

  • Lucent Room Studio - venetian blinds on windowTo book the studio for any purpose, a 50% reservation fee is required.
  • All reservations include a $25 non-refundable reservation fee.
  • All reservations must be made online or by phone with payment by Paypal or Visa/MasterCard.
  • Cancellations more than 2 business days before your reservation (48 hours, M-F, excluding holidays) will be refunded minus a non-refundable $25 reservation fee.
  • Cancellations less than 2 business days before your reservation will not be refunded.
  • The remaining balance must be paid in full before beginning to use the studio.
  • Your selected studio reservation window (for example, from 9am to 1pm) includes all setup and cleanup time.
  • If more time is needed (inside 9am to 5pm) it will be billable at the same hourly rate of your initial reservation.
  • If more time is needed (before 9am or after 5pm) it will be billable at the off-hours rate of $35/hr on weekdays and $40/hr on weekends.

Lucent Room Studio is available for 2hr, 4hr, or 8hr booking.

  • 8 Hrs $200 (25/hr)
  • 4 Hrs $120 (30/hr)
  • 2 Hrs $70  (35/hr)

Overtime (outside 9am to 5pm) on weekdays = $35/hr
Overtime (outside 9am to 5pm) on weekends = $40/hr

Frequent Flyers
Studio renters committing to a minimal usage each month of at least 8 hours (to be scheduled according to your needs each month) get the uber discount rate of only $45 per 2hr session. A minimum contract of 3 months is required. Because you're investing in the studio, we'll go out of our way to accomodate your needs and your schedule, and you get the use of a great studio at a preferred rate.

Put another way, if you could make use of the studio for 8 hours a month or more, it's yours with a low committment starting at only $180 per month. You could use the 8 hours in 1 to 4 sessions, minimum 2hr session. (equipment rental is extra)

Photography Assistants
If you require a photography assistant to set up lighting, backdrops, props, and camera equipment per your instructions, the studio may at our discretion optionally provide up to 2 assistants at the rate of $40/hr ea. Contact us for details.

Equipment Rental Rates (in-Studio)

Lucent Room Studio offers in-studio equipment rental as needed, unless you prefer to bring your own equipment. Certain equipment in the studio is only available by advance request.

For still photography, the optional lighting package adds 60% to your studio rental fee, and includes:

  • 3 Nikon SB800 strobes (on request only)
  • 2 Pocket Wizards (II Plus)
  • 2 60" White Satin Umbrellas (shoot through or bounce, removable black backing)
  • 2 42" White Umbrellas (bounce)
  • 1 30" White Satin Umbrella (shoot through or bounce)
  • 1 Giant 60" Foldable Octabox with Speedring and Grid (White Lightning)
  • 2 10" x 36" Foldable Stripboxes with Speedring and Grids (White Lightning)
  • 2 10' light stands (shock absorbing) on wheels, Manfrotto
  • 2 10' light stands, Manfrotto
  • 1 10' boom stand, Manfrotto
  • misc. small stands, Manfrotto
  • round & rectangular reflectors and shoot-through modifiers
  • 4 grids (10, 20, 30, 40 degrees) for White Lightning 7" reflectors

For videography, we offer the same great studio and lighting gear but instead of the strobes:

We offer a student discount! Your current student ID gets you 20% off all normal rates. For reservations, you pay the normal amount; the final balance will be adjusted.

As a studio renter you agree to immediately report and to reemburse the cost of replacement or repair of any studio premises, furniture, or rental equipment damaged for any reason, including accidents.
